Ottenheim, Schwanau and the Region
Situated in the wetlands of the River Rhine in the South-west of Germany, the village Ottenheim forms together with the villages Allmannsweier, Nonnenweier and Wittenweier the community Schwanau. Nearby are, for example, the Black Forest, the theme park Europa-Park Rust, the picturesque Alsace with its Vosges Mountains and cities like Strasbourg or Colmar. South from Ottenheim, there is the city Freiburg (about 60km) and the Suisse city Basel (about 100km).
